Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow; don’t walk behind me, I may not lead; walk beside me, and be my friend.

The Petrona Towers

This week on Asia Otaku.....

The Petronas Towers (also refered to as Petronas Twin Towers; in Malay: Menara Petronas, or Menara Berkembar Petronas) was the tallest building in the world (measured to the highest point) from April 15th, 1998 until 2004 when Taipei 101 (Financial Center) was topped out at 508m (1676ft).

Xiah Junsu's Tarantallegra

“Tarantallegra” is the first single from Junsu’s solo album, which will be released tomorrow, 15/05. The song features guest rapper Flowsik and mixes bursts of instrumental strings with bass-heavy electro. Due to Junsu’s fame as one of K-pop’s best vocals, many might have though a ballad would be a safer choice, but the title matches the song’s intensity, from the fashion, to the lighting, to the dancing. It's Gothic like, sexy, the MV enlightens all that's is attractive in Junsu...

Here is the MV, some have complained about Junsu's "gay" image in the video, but even so, he's pure hotness here. The most important thing is that he's one of the best voices in Kpop....Enjoy it....

Not long ago I finished reading Mr. and Mrs Fitzwillian Darcy, when two shall become one de Sharon Lathan, one of the many second part about Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. And the saying" second parts are never good" becomes true in this case. It's one of those books that are going to remain in my bookcase without a second reading. I understand the the writer can't copy Austen's style, of course she has her own style, but the case is that she barely got near to the most inner characteristic of the main characters.

The stoic, cold Mr Darcy is turned into a crybaby, overly in love and weak husband. Elisabeth wit is erased and she becomes in a shy, frightened woman, a common woman, a woman she never was. Moreover, the book has an 80% bed scenes. They are well narrated, sensual and delicate but excessive. Austen's Mr. Darcy wouldn't show his wife is private porn collection, for heaven's sake! Anyway, I was lost in the book, some flashbacks have no sense.

I almost quitted the book when she uses the expression “puppy eyes" referring to Darcy. Puppy eyes??? Darcy?? The best part of him is his glarings, please, Mrs. Lathan.....

What should Austen say about something like this

"Her squirming became frantic with the urgent need to have him, and she arched into his flaming body, moaning and whimpering. "Please William!" she cried in desperation.
-"What do you want my wife?"
- "I need you!"
- "Tell me what you need"
- "I must have you. Hurry!"

Elisabeth is horny the 90% of the book and that's because the other 10% she's unconscious.
I wondered if  the writer has ever read anything about Jane Austen or  even if she ever read Pride and Prejudice. She has transformed Lizzy and Darcy in a pink novel couple, they could be one of those characters in Rosamund Pilcher's novels.  If we keep in mind that her "Muse" was Joe Whright's version of Pride&Prejudice (2005) then, everything is said. Without previous experience, without any research, she just goes and writes a book. She personally recognized that she hadn't ever read Jane Austen's books, just after watching the film, decided to write it.......
Maybe it's me, I know I am quite picky about adaptations and second parts but, Mrs. Lathan, next time, before writing about any other mythic couple, please, do some research or at least read first the original.

Dear lil sis, summer will come & we'll follow them...
